INQUESTS

“I am writing to thank you personally for the outstanding manner in which you represented me in my recent matter.”

Specialist advice on Inquests and Coroners Court

Whether you have lost a loved one and want to understand the reason for their death, ensure the right questions are asked at the inquest, or have been asked to attend a Coroners Court as a significant witness, attending an Inquest is a daunting experience at a time you are likely to be at an emotional low. At Kelcey & Hall we can assist in finding you a path to cope in such situations. Our specialist team, led by Ian Kelcey, are skilled and highly experienced at legal representation before a Coroners Court.

Court representation

We can represent you at the inquest. Ian Kelcey has over 20 years experience of representing clients at inquests whether they are families of the deceased or significant witnesses. Inquests are a process whereby the real issue is to discover the cause of death and not to apportion blame. This can make the process of questioning witnesses difficult and confusing, which is why specialist representation is advisable.

Coroner’s investigations

In the lead up to any inquest the Coroner will ask the Police to investigate matters. Indeed a Coroner’s investigation may well go hand in hand with a criminal investigation, e.g. a manslaughter enquiry. For this reason alone you need robust representation and sound pragmatic advice. At Kelcey & Hall we provide that.
