Client acquitted of Section 20 GBH after trial

R v D (January 2026)

D was alleged to have got into an altercation outside a pub, pushing the complainant thereby fracturing his pelvis and causing internal bleeding. D’s explanation was that the complainant attacked him and he did not cause the purported injuries. Following a trial, D was acquitted unanimously after only an hour of deliberations.
