Defendant charged with rape and acquitted after contested trial at Bristol Crown Court

R v O (2025)

O was charged with rape following a night out. O maintained that any sexual intercourse that took place was entirely consensual. After a trial that took 3 years to come to court, the jury returned a not guilty verdict after less than 1 ½ hours of deliberation.
