R v H

The defendant was charged with a digital penetration offence involving a family member. The prosecution alleged that whilst the complainant was asleep, our client placed his finger in the complainants vagina several times. The defendant vehemently denied the offence and stated that he had nudged the complainant in the stomach area in order to wake her up as she had making a choking noise in her sleep.

After a two day trial at the Bristol Crown Court, the jury acquitted the defendant.

Billy Olaniyi was instructed and Ed Hetherington of Albion Chambers was briefed.
