GILL HALL

Partner, Solicitor and Head of Family Law Team

Gill Hall qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and has specialised in all aspects of family law for over 30 years.

Gill is a member of the Children Law Accreditation Scheme as a Children’s Representative and has been acting for children, parents and grandparents in care proceedings and other public law proceedings involving the local authority since 1985 when she first joined the Law Society’s Children Panel.  Some of the cases have involved very serious allegations where children have died, suffered injuries or been sexually abused.

Gill has been a legal member of CoramBAAF for a number of years and has a particular expertise in adoption having represented all parties in the adoption process including the child.  She has recently represented prospective adopters in contested adoptions where the birth parents have been given permission to oppose the adoption.

Gill acts for clients in all aspects of relationship breakdown, including resolution of financial issues and disputes over property. She has had recent experience of acting in a high net worth case involving complex family trusts.

Gill has developed a reputation for her calm, sympathetic manner when dealing with the most personal issues combined with a no-nonsense practical approach.  Gill was awarded the Bristol Law Society’s award for Solicitor-Advocate of the Year in 2012
